Abstract
This chapter investigates the intersection of teaching, motherhood, and professional growth among female English Language Teaching (ELT) educators. It critiques standard "one-size-fits-all" professional development programs for ignoring gendered domestic expectations, work-family conflicts, and emotional labor. Rather than viewing motherhood as a career hindrance, the chapter reframes child-rearing as a source of experiential learning that enhances empathy, emotional regulation, and humanistic pedagogy. Ultimately, it emphasizes that sustainable professional development requires institutional reform, advocating for gender-responsive workplace policies, flexible scheduling, and collaborative learning communities to support female educators throughout their evolving career trajectories.
