Abstract
Abstract: The choice of learning model has a big influence on the achievement of learning objectives, and is a key factor in determining whether the teaching and learning process is good or not. Poor student cognitive absorption and lack of student involvement in the learning process are serious obstacles and result in less than ideal learning outcomes. To maximize results, the Talking Stick model is a cooperative approach that upholds student involvement, interaction and collaboration. The teacher presents the subject as the first step in the Talking Stick learning approach. Once finished, the teacher divides the students into several groups. After that, the teacher gives them a few minutes to study the previous content. The teacher then asks questions that need to be answered in groups. The Talking Stick game was over, and the students started by joining in singing a song. When one of the children stops using the song and sticks, they have to answer a question from the teacher. As a result, the use of the Talking Stick technique increases students' interest and makes it easier for them to absorb the information being taught. The research methodology used in this research is qualitative, and the technique used is descriptive qualitative. The investigation was carried out in class IV of SDN 1 Tanjung Glugur. Talk stick learning can greatly improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students, especially in the area of developing proactive and confident communication skills.
