Abstract

Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) serve as primary healthcare facilities and play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to the community. The effectiveness of these services largely depends on the competence and performance of healthcare personnel. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the effects of competence, management information systems, work culture, and organizational support on employee performance, with job satisfaction acting as an intervening variable, at UPT Puskesmas Situbondo. The study population comprised all civil servant employees of UPT Puskesmas Situbondo, consisting of 33 individuals. A saturated sampling technique was applied, in which all members of the population were included in the study. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS version 3.0. The results of this study reveal that competence has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, whereas the management information system has a negative but statistically insignificant effect on job satisfaction. Work culture has a positive but insignificant effect on job satisfaction, while organizational support has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, competence has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, whereas the management information system has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work culture also has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, while organizational support has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction is found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Regarding the indirect effects, competence, management information systems, work culture, and organizational support, through job satisfaction, do not have significant effects on employee performance.
