Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of job stress, competence, and work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable at Bank BCA KCU Situbondo Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was a saturated sample of 60 employees. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study used Structural Equation Modeling, Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results showed that job stress has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, competence has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, work motivation has a positive but insignificant effect on job satisfaction, work stress has a significant negative effect on employee performance, competence has a significant positive effect on employee performance, work motivation has a positive but insignificant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on employee performance, and work stress has a significant positive effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Competence has a significant positive effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Work motivation has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction
