Abstract

The income of the people of Tokelan Village, Panji Sub-district, Situbondo District as farmers which is only obtained during the harvest season demands them to be able to carry out investment planning behavior well. Some things that can influence investment planning behavior are financial knowledge and financialnexperience. Financial knowledge is the basic knowledge of everyone in order to avoid financial problems. Financial experience is someone's experience that can be used as a learning process in financial management so that it can produce a good financial decision. The purpose of this study was tonanalyze the effect of financial knowledge and financial experience on investmentnplanning behavior moderated by self-control. This study used a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The final sample involved in this study were 35 families. The tests carried out were descriptive statistics, testing the outer and inner model. Hypothesis testing, both direct effect and moderating testing, was carried out using Warp PLS. The result of the research were that financial knowledge affected the investment planning behavior; financial experience which influenced the investment planningnbehavior; and self-control was not a moderatingnvariable of the relationship between financialnknowledge and financial experience on investment planning behavior.
