Abstract

ABSTRACT In various schools there are still often students who have difficulty learning Indonesian. Obstacles and problems that arise either from the teacher, students, or from the material that must be mastered by students, one of which is in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study was to increase student activity and learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects, the subject matter of short stories by using the Example non Example method for grade V even semester at SDN 3 Agel, Jangkar sub-district, 2019/2020 academic year. The research 271 | JURNAL IKA VOL 8 No. 2 DESEMBER 2020 design is a Hopkins scheme model using 4 phases: planning, action / action, observation and reflection. To obtain data in research using the method of observation, interviews and tests. The data analysis in this study used a qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the research and analysis of the discussions that have been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) The learning outcomes of class V SDN 3 Agel students have increased with the application of the Example non Example method in Indonesian subjects which is shown by the completeness of student learning outcomes from pre-cycle activities which only reach 65% and after implementing cycle I learning activities to 75% and in the implementation of cycle II increased to 90%.
